We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Band 3 Administrative Coordinator to join our Forensic Inpatient Services team. This role is ideal for a proactive and experienced professional with strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.

The successful candidate will be a flexible and adaptable individual capable of prioritizing tasks effectively and maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional customer service skills and minute-taking abilities are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

The Administrative Coordinator will be a crucial member of the broader Administrative Team, providing comprehensive support to both clinicians and management. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering efficient administrative assistance to facilitate clinical service delivery.
  • Collaborating within a diverse Administrative Team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Providing secretarial support to healthcare professionals and managers.

The role requires a compassionate and sensitive approach to work, ensuring effective communication with colleagues, the public, and external organizations. Accurate record-keeping is vital, and the ability to focus in a busy environment is necessary. The ideal candidate will embrace change and support service enhancements.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • A good standard of education in English and Mathematics.
  • Essential qualifications such as RSA/OCR III in Word Processing and NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent).
  • Previous clerical and secretarial experience, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with NHS operations and knowledge of relevant computer information systems is advantageous.
