Job Summary:

This is a key role within the Marketing team at Currys, responsible for ensuring that our Services are being correctly and optimally represented in the wider marketing plan and within all marketing channel executions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Channel Management: The Channel Marketing Manager will work with the Senior Planning & Marketing Manager to ensure that our Services are represented in the best way possible across all marketing channels, including ATL, CRM, Social & PR, and Content.
  • Services Marketing Strategy: The Channel Marketing Manager will work with the Services Commercial team and other functions across the Currys business to support the execution of the Services Marketing strategy and develop our business for future growth.
  • Role Overview: As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
    • The custodian of our working relationships with the Marketing Channel teams, including ATL, CRM, Social & PR, and Content
    • Managing the presence of our full range of Services propositions within these Marketing Channels, working together with them to deliver the Services Marketing Plan
    • Representing Services within the business' mega Marketing processes – i.e. Quarterly Promotion & Event Planning and Annual Planning processes
    • Delivering on any Services initiated briefs within the Quarterly Promotion & Event Plan, ensuring optimum presence within Marketing Channels. Work with the channel specialists to ensure our plans are on brief and of high quality
    • Subscriptions Marketing Planning, ensuring third party offers brought to market by Currys are well represented within our Marketing Channels
    • Services Marketing within our Post-Point of Sale channel, ensuring all of our Services propositions are well represented in this area
    • Supporting the Senior Planning & Marketing Manager to create relevant inputs within the E2E process of reviewing performance across Services, including period reviews, regular YTD performance reviews and supporting the QGTMP post mortem process
    • Playing a supporting role in the creation of annual budgets and short-term forecasts at P&L level
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience of both the electricals market and products
  • Skills: Strong influencing skills and ability to manage several different stakeholders, at all levels
  • Planning and Organisation: Advanced planning, organisational and multitasking skills
  • Communication: Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, capable of presenting to team forums as well as working cross functionally to achieve the desired results
  • Problem-Solving: Detail-oriented problem-solving skills
  • Deadline Management: Extensive experience of working to deadlines and managing critical paths
  • Commercial Experience: Experience within a commercial or performance driving environment, preferably driving performance within a marketing or commercial marketing role
  • Customer-Facing: Excellent understanding of customer-facing execution of services propositions and the ability to collaborate and land in-channel initiatives across multiple channels
  • Market Knowledge: Good knowledge of adjacent markets and competitors (Retail, Services and Technology)
  • Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as MS Office workflow tools
