About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As an Education Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver low-intensity evidence-based interventions for children and young people in educational settings.
  • Support and facilitate staff in educational settings to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
  • Work with and within educational environments to provide better access to specialist mental health services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or CYP Wellbeing Practitioner with a postgraduate qualification or degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience of working with children and young people, their families, and others in a healthcare or school setting.
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties.
  • Experience of delivering specific low-intensity therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families (CBT, solution-focused brief therapy).
