Make a Difference in Forensic Mental Health
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Marlborough House, a 28-bedded male medium secure forensic unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the rehabilitation and well-being of individuals within a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Your Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services tailored to individual client needs, adhering to client-centered principles.
- Manage a diverse caseload of patients with complex mental health conditions and forensic histories.
- Lead and mentor junior staff members through supervision and appraisal processes, fostering professional development within the team.
- Actively participate in the planning and evolution of our Occupational Therapy service, contributing to its ongoing improvement and effectiveness.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, sharing expertise and working towards shared goals for patient care.
- Contribute to the education of occupational therapy students, sharing your knowledge and experience to shape future practitioners.

Qualifications and SkillsEssential Requirements:
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Proven experience working within mental health and forensic settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and appraisal skills.
