About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Merco Medical Staffing Limited. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing expert neurorehabilitation services to individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI).

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide occupational therapy services within a neurobehavioral model.
  • Liaise with internal and external professionals, family members, and individuals receiving support to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Manage and prioritize a caseload of individuals with complex mental/physical health needs and/or challenging behavior.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based care programs, ensuring effective handover to rehabilitation support workers or therapy assistants.
  • Monitor progress through data collection and modify treatment to ensure the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately based on colleagues' competencies and take responsibility for handover, monitoring, and review.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments, ensuring they are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated effectively within the team.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registered
  • Knowledge and application of occupational therapy assessments (standardized and non-standardized) & intervention
