About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner Social Worker to join our CAMHS team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing social work assessment and intervention to children and young people accessing our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Safeguarding Children Team to provide advice and guidance to the wider CAMHS team.
  • Offer advice, guidance, and consultation to professionals within CAMHS regarding social care eligibility and care pathways.
  • Support and monitor children, young people, and their families for children in an inpatient provision, ensuring a comprehensive package of care post discharge.
Requirements
  • Social Work qualification and current registration.
  • Demonstrable experience post qualification in a social work setting working with vulnerable children and families.
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have serious mental illness.
  • Experience in completing comprehensive assessments in mental health or health and social needs.
