About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide timely support and assistance to clients who are struggling with their mental health and experiencing emotional distress.
  • To conduct brief assessments to understand the client's current mental health status, risks, and determine appropriate interventions.
  • To offer emotional support, psychoeducation, and collaborative problem-solving to clients, helping them navigate their mental health challenges and access the appropriate resources for ongoing care and support.
  • To work closely with other community-based services, supporting service users with a range of mental health needs at varying stages of recovery.
  • To participate in medication management, group interventions, and other clinical activities as required.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A professional qualification at diploma or degree level in mental health nursing, social work, or occupational therapy.
  • Demonstrable post-basic experience in mental health, with a sound knowledge base and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience of working in the community, with a strong understanding of the impact of race and culture in mental healthcare provision.
