Duty Manager/Shift Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at M&S, Brighton Station. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our night shift operations, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of colleagues to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
- Ensure the store is clean, safe, and welcoming for customers, with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Take charge of creating a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and motivation among colleagues.
- Focus on operational efficiency, staying informed about unit performance, and championing improvements to simplify operations.
- Recognize and celebrate exceptional service within the team, leading by example and promoting inclusivity and motivation.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, communicate effectively, and make thoughtful decisions to ensure the team's success and deliver excellence in customer service.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working as a supervisor in hospitality or retail role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
- Knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles.
