Position Overview

This role presents an excellent opportunity to oversee a diverse team of up to 15 professionals, including a Field Performance Manager, Technical Coordinator, and various skilled technicians, engaged in Operational and Maintenance tasks at Sewage Pumping Stations within the designated region.

Key Responsibilities

As the Regional Pumping Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring safety, leadership, and effective resource management while overseeing the operation and maintenance of sewage Pumping Stations. Your goal will be to meet established performance and expenditure targets, uphold quality standards, comply with statutory requirements, and enhance customer service.

Your specific duties will include:
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary team to execute Planned and Corrective Maintenance for approximately 270 Sewage Pumping Stations.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and best practices while sharing local expertise.
  • Achieving and surpassing stringent financial objectives while maintaining high-quality service.
  • Enhancing customer service levels and overall experience.
  • Fostering a culture centered on safety, performance management, and exceptional customer service.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives at all levels to enhance service delivery, reduce costs, and improve asset performance and reliability.
  • Minimizing environmental impact and mitigating pollution risks while developing contingency plans for operational challenges and equipment failures.
  • Advocating for Health and Safety Policies, aiming for zero incidents and zero harm.
Location and Working Hours

This position is hybrid, based at the Sewer Treatment Works, with a commitment of 36 working hours per week.

Candidate Requirements
  • A full UK driving license is essential.
  • Applicants should possess at least an HNC/D in a process or technically related field, along with relevant supervisory qualifications and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and vision.
  • Current Health and Safety management competence.
  • Proven ability to meet challenging operational targets.
  • Proficiency in IT.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Awareness of business and stakeholder needs, coupled with innovative problem-solving abilities and effective teamwork skills.

  • Competitive salary ranging from £40,960 to £51,200 per annum, based on experience.
