Job Description

**Job Title:** Area Operations Manager

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Area Operations Manager to lead our team of professionals in the management of our sewage pumping stations in the Home Counties South region.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead a multi-disciplined team of up to 15 people, including a Field Performance Manager, Technical Coordinator, and multi-skilled technicians, in the operation and maintenance of sewage pumping stations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve set performance and expenditure targets, quality standards, statutory requirements, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Optimisation team to deliver initiatives that improve the operation of sewage pumping stations.
  • Meet and exceed tight financial targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Deliver increasing levels of customer service and experience.
  • Drive a culture of safety, performance management, and exceptional customer service.
  • Minimise environmental impact and reduce the risk of pollution incidents.
  • Develop contingency plans to enable effective response to operational issues and plant failures.

**Requirements:**

  • A minimum of HNC/D calibre in a process or technically related field, along with supervisory qualifications/experience.
  • Excellent leadership experience, capability, and vision.
  • Current H&S management competence.
  • Ability to deliver against stretching operational targets.
  • IT literate.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good business/stakeholder awareness, together with an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving and strong teamwork and influencing skills.

**What We Offer:**

  • Competitive salary between £40,960 to £51,200 per annum depending on previous experience.
