**Job Title:** Area Operations Manager
**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Area Operations Manager to lead our team of professionals in the management of our sewage pumping stations in the Home Counties South region.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead a multi-disciplined team of up to 15 people, including a Field Performance Manager, Technical Coordinator, and multi-skilled technicians, in the operation and maintenance of sewage pumping stations.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve set performance and expenditure targets, quality standards, statutory requirements, and customer service.
- Collaborate with the Asset Optimisation team to deliver initiatives that improve the operation of sewage pumping stations.
- Meet and exceed tight financial targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Deliver increasing levels of customer service and experience.
- Drive a culture of safety, performance management, and exceptional customer service.
- Minimise environmental impact and reduce the risk of pollution incidents.
- Develop contingency plans to enable effective response to operational issues and plant failures.
**Requirements:**
- A minimum of HNC/D calibre in a process or technically related field, along with supervisory qualifications/experience.
- Excellent leadership experience, capability, and vision.
- Current H&S management competence.
- Ability to deliver against stretching operational targets.
- IT literate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good business/stakeholder awareness, together with an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving and strong teamwork and influencing skills.
**What We Offer:**
- Competitive salary between £40,960 to £51,200 per annum depending on previous experience.
- Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service.
