Join Our Team as a Lead Analyst for Oil Products

Energy Aspects is excited to announce an opportunity for a Lead Analyst specializing in Oil Products, focusing on gasoline, naphtha, and LPG. This role is ideal for a commercially astute analyst with over 5 years of experience in the gasoline and light ends sectors, aiming to contribute to our expanding Oil Products service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate insightful reports and analyses on market dynamics, identifying challenges and opportunities for traders and hedgers.
  • Forecast and discuss market trends through our publications and directly with clients.
  • Collaborate with our global team to ensure our service offerings meet high standards of quality and depth.
  • Establish and nurture strong internal and external relationships.
  • Enhance and manage balances and models in coordination with the team.
  • Contribute to formulating Energy Aspects' perspective on global Oil Products markets.
  • Present our insights on Oil Products to clients and prospects.
  • Support the team in conducting tailored research for clients as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in analyzing light-end product markets, particularly gasoline.
  • Strong knowledge of naphtha and LPG markets is preferred, along with cross-barrel experience.
  • Experience in report writing and delivering presentations.
  • Ability to analyze short-term supply and demand trends in oil products.
  • Experience in fundamental modeling, including building and maintaining complex refining models and using statistical tools.
  • Understanding of global oil products markets, trade flows, and refining processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Meticulous attention to detail in data handling and written communication.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with colleagues across different time zones.
Desirable Skills:
  • Data analysis and programming skills in languages such as Python or SQL would be advantageous.
