Energy Aspects is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Oil Demand Analyst / Head of Energy Demand to join our growing global team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished oil analyst to contribute significantly to the success of a leading energy market research consultancy.

As a key member of our fundamentals team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Energy Aspects' oil demand analysis and forecasting process. You will collaborate closely with analysts across the company to ensure that our oil balances accurately reflect the latest market developments and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the global team to maintain the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and depth of insight in Energy Aspects reports.
  • Manage and refine Energy Aspects' oil (liquids) demand balancing models, including developing and maintaining the methodology for oil demand forecasting.
  • Lead a team of energy analysts and oversee the development of Energy Aspects' medium-term energy demand forecasts across various commodities.
  • Contribute to formulating the company's view on global liquids markets.
  • Present Energy Aspects' insights on oil markets to clients and prospects, as well as contribute to our monthly written reports.
  • Enable the broader team to undertake bespoke research for clients when required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
  • Proven experience analyzing oil balances, including refined products and NGLs.
  • Strong fundamental modeling skills (developing and refining models), encompassing data analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • A deep understanding of global energy markets and the factors that influence oil demand.
