Job Summary

We are seeking driven professionals to join our team at Clarkson PLC and contribute to our success in the oil broking industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues, providing market insights and trade ideas to drive business growth.

• Arrange and execute Financial Futures and Options (FFAs) on behalf of clients, ensuring seamless transactions and high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Build and develop strategic relationships with key clients and prospects, acting as lead negotiator in high-level contract discussions and driving revenue growth.

• Stay up-to-date with market trends and activities within the company's Futures division, identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the development of the local and European client base.

• Assist with due diligence and approval of new clients, controlling brokerage level agreements and ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Conduct regular reviews of processes to identify and manage risk, ensuring the highest levels of commercial performance and compliance.

• Attend team meetings to discuss commercial performance and compliance updates, and participate in industry events and initiatives as an ambassador for Clarkson PLC.

• In time, hire, manage, and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

• Understand and contribute to the business strategy for the division, identifying new business opportunities and providing market analysis and insights to clients.

• Identify and introduce new clients to the market, maintaining professional relationships and driving business growth.

• Perform market analysis and provide market insights and trade ideas to clients, ensuring they are well-informed and able to make informed decisions.

• Travel and attend client social events as required, representing Clarkson PLC and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Desirable Qualifications

• Successful track record in oil broking or a related industry.

• 2-10+ years of experience in oil broking, with a strong understanding of the industry and its trends.

• Strong commercial judgement and excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to drive revenue growth and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

• Strong numeracy skills and excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and data in a clear and concise manner.

• High focus on accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Confident and able to work well under pressure, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

• Good MS Office skills, with the ability to use a range of software applications to support business operations.
