Job Summary

Insight is seeking a highly analytical and ambitious individual to join our team as an Energy Market Analyst. As a key member of our markets team, you will be responsible for providing real-time analysis and commentary to our clients in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth analysis of global energy markets, with a focus on crude oil, oil products, and gas, particularly in the European and US regions.
  • Engage with clients during the trading day, offering actionable insights and market commentary.
  • Collaborate closely with senior energy analysts and the broader markets team to develop research products and analytical tools.
  • Contribute to thematic research on relevant energy market trends and developments.
  • Develop and enhance our market intelligence capabilities to support client needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key market participants and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as economics, finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant market analysis experience in the energy sector, preferably in oil or gas markets.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality analysis and insights in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
