Energy Market Analyst

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Deliver exceptional customer experience and product support for existing and new clients to ensure the product is being used effectively and to promote customer retention.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive technical support to clients, addressing their questions and concerns related to the successful use of our software products.
  • Take ownership and track support cases from start to finish, ensuring seamless resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Account Management to successfully onboard new clients, providing them with the necessary support and guidance to maximize the value of our SaaS/Cloud or Desktop offerings.
  • Assist Account Management in making proactive calls and on-site visits to learn more deeply about customer organizational goals, progress with our tools, and how we can help them be more successful.

**Requirements**

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Prior programming/database management experience (VBA, Python, SQL) and/or understanding of Mixed Integer Programming.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of power plant operations, electricity and gas markets.
  • Knowledge of fundamental energy market analysis, environmental markets, demand side management/energy efficiency, electric utility resource planning approaches.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge supporting users/customers for a SaaS/Cloud-based service/product.
  • Experience in creating content (learning/knowledge base articles) for Cloud-based product/services.
  • Demonstrated ability to build solid relationships across other internal teams, business partners, and specialists by promoting teamwork, partnership, and collaboration in a virtual or face-to-face environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • 1-3 years' experience in the Energy industry with a strong understanding of energy economics and market fundamentals and/or technical operation of generators and operation of power transmission system.
  • Exposure to water utilities and the gas market desirable.
