About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Colocation Business Development Lead - Fire Solutions Expert, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our fire solutions business within the colocation data center industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Long-Term Customer Relationships

Build strong, strategic relationships with consulting engineers, design & build contractors, and colocation operators to create a pipeline of opportunities for our fire solutions within the EMEALA region.

  • Maximize Account Penetration

Work closely with assigned accounts to maximize penetration of our fire solutions, leveraging our broad portfolio of offerings and providing feedback to the business.

  • Communicate JCI Offerings

Clearly articulate and communicate our fire solutions to customers, providing them with the information they need to make informed decisions.

  • Strategize Sales Approach

Develop a sales strategy that aligns with our business objectives and defines stakeholder mapping to improve our market appeal.

  • Partner with JCI Teams

Collaborate with JCI branch offices within EMEALA to maximize order intake and profit generation from assigned accounts.

  • Ensure Customer Retention and Growth

Work closely with customers to ensure retention and growth of assigned accounts, providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed.

  • Utilize Sales Tools

Effectively utilize sales tools such as Salesforce CRM, Altify Account Management, and STAR Account Plan reviews to plan, build pipeline of opportunity, and document progress.

  • Stay Current on Industry Standards

Develop a solid understanding of industry standards, pertinent building codes and regulations within the EMEALA region, and best practices for design of fire solutions within colocation data centers.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Business, or Relevant Experience
  • Proven Track Record of Consistently Achieving Fire Sales Targets
  • Ability to Adapt and Flex While Working with Customers
  • Ability to Work in a Matrix Environment as an Individual Contributor
  • Valid EU/UK Driving License
  • Fluent Language Skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five (5) Years of Experience Selling Fire Solutions within the Data Centers Industry
  • An Existing Network/Relationships within the Data Centers Industry
  • Preferably Based in the UK, Near Greater London Area
  • Experience Communicating Effectively Across Multiple Cultures
