Marine Fire Alarm Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Detection Design Engineer to join our Global Marine & Navy team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing fire alarm systems for marine vessels and naval operations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with marine standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams to interpret technical specifications and commercial documentation.
- Provide engineering solutions and work closely with clients and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Produce and deliver high-quality documentation on time, ensuring projects are completed within budget and according to client specifications.
- Travel within the UK and overseas as required to survey existing systems, set up equipment for Factory Acceptance Tests, and ensure systems are tested and ready before deployment.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering.
- Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Strong ability to interpret technical specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid knowledge of Fire & Gas detection equipment.
- Experience with AutoCAD for design work.
- Experience with software and graphic systems.
- Full UK driving license.
- Familiarity with Tyco Fire Detection systems.
- Prior experience in Fire & Gas design.
- SC clearance or BPSS clearance, particularly for work on MOD projects.
