Job Overview

In this position, you will be an integral member of the healthcare team, facilitating the seamless administration of ward activities. Your responsibilities will include managing clerical tasks efficiently, working closely with Doctors, Nurses, and Healthcare Assistants. Additionally, you may assist at the reception area as needed.

We seek a candidate who is capable of working independently, effectively prioritizing tasks, and collaborating well within a team environment. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will interact with patients and visitors both in person and over the phone.

As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, it is crucial that you embody the Trust's core values, ensuring a positive experience for all.

Work Schedule

The role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with shifts ranging from early morning starts to evening finishes.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the efficient operation of the ward by alleviating nursing staff of routine clerical and administrative tasks.

- Familiarize yourself with the Hospital's Computer Systems.

- Welcome new patients and their families, addressing initial inquiries until the Ward Sister or Nurse-in-Charge is available.

- Maintain the Ward Clerk diary and admissions records.
