About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our Surgical Ward team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their hospital journey.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, such as wound care and medication administration.
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
