We are in search of a dedicated and proactive Patient Admissions Specialist to oversee the management of waiting lists within the Urology Department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the Admissions Team, delivering a professional and high-caliber service consistently.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will provide vital support to ensure that all Urology patients are scheduled promptly and efficiently, while also assisting the Urology Team in meeting national performance benchmarks. Proficiency in IT systems is essential for booking patients, communicating with a diverse range of internal and external staff, and liaising with patients and their families. Exceptional communication skills are a prerequisite for this position due to the nature of the responsibilities and team interactions.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good General Education (GCSE English and Maths A-C) or Level 9-4
  • Business Administration NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative capacity

Experience

Essential

  • Proficiency in a range of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in public-facing roles or customer service

Desirable

  • Background in Healthcare
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with managing surgical waiting lists and knowledge of the 18-week RTT pathway
