About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Patient Safety Manager at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of patient safety strategies and initiatives to improve the quality of care and reduce harm to patients.
  • Provide expert support and guidance to staff on patient safety matters, including incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives and projects to improve patient outcomes and experience.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience in a healthcare-related field.
  • Significant experience of working in a senior leadership role in a healthcare organization, with a focus on patient safety and quality improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and information, and develop effective solutions to improve patient safety and quality of care.
  • Strong understanding of patient safety and quality improvement principles, including the National Health Service (NHS) patient safety framework and the World Health Organization (WHO) patient safety standards.
