About the Role

NHS England is seeking an exceptional individual to join our National Patient Safety Team as a Senior Patient Safety Improvement Manager. This is a dynamic role that requires extensive experience in patient safety improvement and outcomes, ideally at regional and national level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of Safety Improvement Programmes, working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with NHS England's strategy for patient safety.
  • Work jointly with Patient Safety Collaboratives to ensure programme/project management is aligned with programme plans, providing coaching, advice, and guidance on quality improvement methodologies and approaches.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and impactful reporting, demonstrating the value of the programme through the assurance process.

Requirements

  • Education to degree level or equivalent level of experience in quality improvement.
  • Experience of leading measurable improvement at scale as part of a spread and adoption strategy.
  • Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues, and create solutions, with developed communication skills for delivering key messages to stakeholders.
