Director of Operations

Location: London Office

Compensation: £80,000 - £100,000 based on experience + car allowance + performance bonus

About Our Client: Our client stands as a prominent figure in the interiors sector, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions for acoustic comfort. With a presence in the United States, Australia, and London, they are on a growth trajectory and seeking an Operations Director to become part of their team. Their organizational culture emphasizes teamwork, ongoing education, and a steadfast commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Formulate and execute financial strategies aimed at managing and minimizing debt, provide regular updates on accounts payable and receivable, and prepare weekly financial forecasts.
  • Operational Enhancement: Anticipate and model stock demand, adjust product pricing, conduct root cause analysis on product challenges, and identify best practices for process optimization.
  • Client Services Oversight: Negotiate client contracts and supervise installations to guarantee exceptional service delivery.
  • Strategic Leadership: Manage new premises and OEM partnerships, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Report to the General Manager for EMEA, foster a growth-oriented culture, and guide teams towards achieving high performance and success.

Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership position within the contracting and/or interiors sector is highly desirable.
  • A background in manufacturing with an understanding of quality control would be beneficial.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lean processes aimed at waste reduction, continuous improvement, and efficiency enhancement.
  • Strong commercial insight, ideally within a growing SME or medium-sized company with an international footprint.
  • Proficient in strategic planning and business development.
  • Financial acumen with experience in reporting and management information.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and public speaking abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications such as UBT 3MAC or equivalent; UBT ABM or similar is an advantage.
