About The Role

The Head of Operations and Process Excellence will play a critical role in driving operational excellence at Duco. This individual will be responsible for optimizing operational processes, managing key projects, and ensuring that all operational activities align with the company's goals and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and streamline global operations, ensuring consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and govern comprehensive project and programme plans in alignment with Duco's mission and objectives.
  • Collaborate across the organization to enable Duco to leverage innovative solutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence and execute successfully.
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer in managing initiatives across the organization, including:
    • Workplace Strategy: Lead office relocations and define 'how we work' strategies in partnership with the Chief People Officer.
    • Operational Excellence: Drive the implementation of cost optimization initiatives, including deploying software to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
    • Data Strategy & Analytics: Support the design and execution of the company's data strategy, focusing on dashboard rollout and company-wide analytics tools.
    • ESG: Support the ESG working group from ideation through to rollout of initiatives across the organization.
    • Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement best practices to enhance business operations and organizational scalability.
Requirements:
  • You'll need a keen ear for disseminating information and a drive to see out execution.
  • You'll need to be able to operate independently without direction, but equally able to work as a team. You should be a finisher.
  • Comfortable being uncomfortable – you're not going to be the person in the room with the most knowledge on an individual topic given your broad area of coverage.
  • You will need to be a skilled collaborator and communicator with highly developed stakeholder management skills.
  • Have a proven track record of planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Have excellent written communication skills for reports and presentations.
  • Be able to turn ambiguity into structure and practical deliverables.
  • You should be willing to be hands-on, helping to execute overall strategy.
  • You should thrive in a high-pressure environment and enjoy self-leading.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience and understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Some experience of Management Information (MI) and building dashboards would be very useful.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) experience.
