About the Role

Goldsmiths, University of London is a world-renowned institution of higher education, known for its innovative approach to teaching and research. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our People and Organisational Development team as the Assistant Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the People Operations and Data Services, ensuring efficient operations and continuous process improvement.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the university's strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of a contemporary, solutions-focused HR service that supports academic heads and managers.
  • Collaborate with the Director of People and Organisational Development and their team to drive the university's People Strategy.
  • Manage key projects, including Academic Faculty and Professional Services Restructure, HESA, Gender and Ethnicity Pay Gap, IR35, Industrial Relations Pay Deductions, and UKVI Audit.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in data systems and proficiency in data analysis tools, particularly in a higher education setting.
  • Excellent management and interpersonal skills, with strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to quickly grasp data requests and communicate complex data and insights in a clear and compelling way.
  • Creativity, innovation, curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
