About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized HR Graduate to join our team at Discovery. As an HR Graduate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our People Team, providing administrative assistance, and contributing to the smooth operation of HR processes across our branches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in all aspects of People Team functions, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Support the hiring and recruitment processes, including receiving and sorting CVs.
  • Maintain and monitor HR databases and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Produce payroll reports, update Sage Payroll, and comply with HMRC regulations.
  • Assist with timesheets, the time and attendance programme, and payroll processing.
  • Report information accurately and efficiently to the People Team.
  • Calculate Bradford Factor scores and communicate sickness absence stages to the People Team.
  • Collate data to assist with the daily operations of the People Team.
  • File and archive sensitive information in accordance with GDPR.
  • Support in arranging training courses for all employees.
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably required, commensurate with the nature of the job and level of responsibility.

  • Progress to HR Advisor or HR Officer roles, overseeing several branches and supporting HR scalability.
  • Work towards becoming the HR Payroll lead, reporting directly to the board.
  • Work towards achieving your Level 3 & Level 5 CIPD qualifications, with exemptions if you are not already operating at these levels.
  • Gain exposure to branch operations and get a comprehensive understanding of our business.
  • Participate in a Healthcare course (6 months) to obtain a formal qualification (NVQ 2 – Pharmacy Healthcare Assistant).
