Change Team Coordinator

The General Medical Council is seeking a Change Team Coordinator to guide team members within a larger unit, ensuring our Change & Knowledge Management (CKM) function operates at optimal efficiency. Your direct reports will provide administrative assistance to project teams while also managing routine changes for Operational teams within the broader Registration and Revalidation Directorate. You will navigate the team towards success and maintain project timelines.

To excel in this role, you should be a proactive and assured leader with substantial experience in team oversight, adept at maximizing team potential. This expertise will empower you to address complexities through meticulous planning alongside your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster team development through strategic management, enhancing colleagues' interpersonal skills and promoting a collaborative culture. Manage a portfolio of systems, projects, and change initiatives, distributing tasks based on team capacity. Collaborate closely with the Change Team Manager to execute your Directorate's operational strategy and team goals.

As a Change Team Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality management experience for your team, enabling them to reach their full potential and providing support in critical areas by:

Demonstrating positive and confident leadership, backed by extensive team management experience. Understanding how to optimize team performance. Possessing the capability to effectively navigate complexities through thorough planning with colleagues. Enjoying collaboration with dedicated professionals in a modern office environment, as well as in remote settings.

Our organization currently operates on a hybrid model, with flexibility for in-office work as needed, particularly during onboarding and team meetings. Full-time positions (35 hours, Monday to Friday) with various flexible working arrangements are available.

Application Process

To apply, please submit a CV and a cover letter. The cover letter should clearly outline how you meet the essential skills required for the role, as detailed in the job description, and include a section that articulates your motivation for applying.

We recommend that the cover letter does not exceed two pages of A4, though additional length is acceptable if necessary.

Your application will be evaluated against the skills required for the position, and you will be informed about the next steps in the recruitment process.
