We have an exciting opportunity for a **Recovery Coordinator **to join our Criminal Justice team,

who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. You will work across Manchester and in the main will be located in National Probation Service locations. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing including the National Probation Service and other appropriate agencies offering a wide range of treatment interventions and programmes. You will work with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives and promote recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination.

You will provide assessments for people with alcohol and substance misuse issues and with our Doctors, NMP’s and Wellbeing Nurses you will provide case management support and healthcare interventions for individuals accessing the service.

**Hours**: 37.5hrs per week

**Salary**: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 Pro Rata (CGL Scale 23 - 28) dependent on experience

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Work in partnership with National Probation service and other appropriate agencies
- Provide a seamless link between probation, police/court custody suites, prison, and the community.
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
- Provide assessment and information for courts and other criminal justice agencies of suitability for specialist interventions
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
- Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
- To ensure that record keeping and feedback is completed to a high standard and within time scales; and information governance/sharing policies and procedures are adhered to
- Facilitate and be included within individualised care planning and reviews with partners and service users for the most appropriate support

**About you**:

- Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and/or experience of working within criminal justice or related field.
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
- Experience of supporting and advising participants with complex and/or multiple barriers to success.
- Experience of working within Criminal Justice Partnerships and/or working within a multiagency system/team.
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
- Knowledge of effective interventions that lead to reduction in drug related crime.
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
