Change Team Coordinator

The General Medical Council is seeking a Change Team Coordinator to guide team members within a larger group, ensuring that our Change & Knowledge Management (CKM) function operates at its peak performance. Your direct reports will provide administrative assistance to project teams while also managing routine changes for Operational teams within the wider Registration and Revalidation Directorate. You will direct the team effectively, ensuring that projects remain on schedule.

To excel in this role, you should be a positive and assertive leader with substantial experience in team management, adept at maximizing team potential. This experience will empower you to navigate complexities through meticulous planning alongside your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster team development through considerate management, enhancing colleagues' interpersonal skills and promoting a collaborative culture.
  • Oversee a range of systems, projects, and change initiatives, distributing tasks based on team workload.
  • Collaborate closely with the Change Team Manager to achieve your Directorate's operational goals and team objectives.

The Change Team Coordinator will play a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality management experience for the team, enabling them to fully utilize their capabilities and providing support in critical areas. This will involve:

  • Exhibiting strong leadership qualities and a solid background in team management.
  • Understanding how to effectively engage and motivate teams.
  • Possessing the experience to confidently address complexities through thorough planning with colleagues.
  • Enjoying collaboration with dedicated professionals in a modern office environment, while also having the flexibility to work from home.

We currently operate on a hybrid model, allowing for up to two days a week in the office, with the possibility of increased office presence for induction periods and necessary team meetings. This is a full-time position (35 hours, Monday to Friday) with flexible working options available.

Application Process

To apply, please submit a CV and a cover letter. The cover letter should clearly demonstrate how you meet the essential skills outlined in the job description, specifying which sections correspond to each essential skill. Additionally, include a paragraph explaining your motivation for applying.

We recommend that the cover letter does not exceed two sides of A4, although additional pages may be included if necessary.

Applications will be evaluated based on the skills required for the role, and candidates will be informed about their progression in the recruitment process.
