We are excited to announce multiple full-time opportunities for Community Support Specialists within the Integrated Localities and Initial Adult Social Care Contact (IASCC) Teams.

The Isle of Wight Adult Social Care Team is characterized by a nurturing management framework, which includes a Principal Social Worker, Service Managers, Integrated Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, and a dedicated group of qualified Social Workers, Assistant Social Workers, and administrative personnel.

As Community Support Specialists, you will play an essential role in linking residents with resources that enable them to live their preferred lifestyle, whether independently or with support, and assist individuals in regaining stability during challenging times.

To thrive in this position, candidates should demonstrate professional curiosity, a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, and a dedication to upholding professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England (SWE)
  • Newly qualified professionals are encouraged to apply, with opportunities for a fully supported ASYE year
  • Excel in a dynamic work environment
  • Show a commitment to empowering individuals and ensuring a safe approach to social work practice

Applicants should be suitably qualified, registered, and capable of applying a person-centered and strengths-based methodology.

Furthermore, candidates must be skilled in collaborating within a team that emphasizes the strengths of individuals, families, and the community.

In addition to standard responsibilities, successful candidates may occasionally be required to engage in the Out of Hours (OOH) duty roster.
