About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide day-to-day emotional and practical support to young people in need, helping them to achieve their full potential and transition into independent living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, understanding their individual needs and circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a comprehensive support package, including crisis response and advocacy.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of support plans, ensuring that young people's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Provide guidance and support to young people in areas such as education, employment, and life skills.

Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people and colleagues.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable young people, preferably in a homelessness or youth support setting.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, including safeguarding and data protection.
Working Arrangements

This is a part-time, permanent position, working 23.5 hours per week. We are committed to providing a flexible and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
