About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Manager to join our team at Liberty Global Europe Ltd. (UK). As a key member of our Corporate Strategy department, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our Procurement Services division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine the overall strategic plan for Procurement Services, aligning it with the business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Services management team and broader Liberty Global teams to define the strategic direction and identify growth opportunities.
  • Identify and evaluate partnerships, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities to drive growth.
  • Deliver strategic projects, such as market feasibility studies, regulatory impact assessments, and operating model projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential risks.
  • Monitor competitors' strategies, proposition offerings, pricing models, and market positioning.
  • Engage with key partners, both internal and external, to communicate the strategic vision and progress and solicit feedback.

Requirements

  • Proven experience gained in strategic consulting or corporate strategy departments within the field of professional services or in a blue-chip in-house procurement group.
  • Excellent knowledge of procurement services market dynamics, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Deep understanding and interest in procurement technology landscape and how it will change the future of procurement.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading successful corporate initiatives.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, being able to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • High level of business intuition, with a broad understanding of procurement and financial principles and metrics.
  • Proficiency in using analytical tools, market research techniques, financial modelling and business case development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
