We are excited to announce a unique opportunity within the Governance Team at Nottingham Community Housing Association Ltd for the position of Executive Governance Assistant.

In this role, you will experience a diverse range of tasks, ensuring that no two days are alike. This position provides the chance to enhance your skills in governance and risk management, paving the way for your professional development.

Your Responsibilities

As the Executive Governance Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to the Group Governance & Risk Manager, the Executive Team, and the Board. Your duties will include:

  • Preparing and disseminating governance and risk documentation to senior management, the Executive Team, and Board members, while also compiling their feedback.
  • Coordinating meetings, which involves creating agendas, sharing reports through meeting software, and managing meeting venues.
  • Documenting minutes and tracking action items for follow-up.
  • Handling service orders, processing related invoices, and managing event bookings.
  • Maintaining company records, including the Deed Register, Shareholder Register, and the Gifts and Hospitality Register.

This position offers flexibility in terms of working days and hours, with a requirement to work on Wednesdays. Specific hours can be discussed during the interview process.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge or experience in a regulated environment, such as social housing. In addition to being highly organized with a keen eye for detail, you should also demonstrate the following qualities:

  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with the ability to manage databases and generate reports.
  • Experience in a fast-paced administrative role with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Adaptable communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including shareholders, board members, and colleagues.
  • A flexible work approach to accommodate the varying demands of the Board and Committee meeting schedule.
