About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Lead to join our team at Caridon Group. As a Service Lead, you will play a key role in supporting Housing Support Officers in providing housing-related support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationships
    • Build positive relationships with clients and ensure the delivery of personal housing plans.
    • Work with clients and the team to identify and action service improvements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build relationships with stakeholders to signpost clients for specialist support.
    • Collaborate with referral sources, such as Single Homeless Teams, to access best support for clients.
  • Service Delivery
    • Escalate maintenance issues to the maintenance team and service.
    • Support Housing Support Officers with benefits advice, applications, appeals, and tribunals.
    • Assist and support Housing Support Officers with complex cases and manage the residual case load.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Record and report safeguarding concerns in line with Caridon Group duties and policies.
    • Update and maintain relevant internal computer systems, such as Arthur, Nourish, and Plantific.
    • Monitor and oversee practices to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Provide weekly and monthly statistics on voids, evictions, and arrears.
    • Meet set KPIs and ensure the operation of the service meets customer service requirements.
    • Support Housing Support Officers with Housing Benefit issues and ensure all claims are submitted with relevant documentation.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Assist in the full recruitment process of new staff and volunteers.
    • Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies at all times.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • At least two years' experience in managing a small team.
    • Demonstration of leadership and self-motivation.
    • Ability to work unsupervised and plan and monitor work of self and others.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Knowledge of Housing-related Laws and ability to keep up to date with industry changes.
    • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, and the Internet).
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to problem-solve complex issues.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate initiative under pressure.
  • Education and Certifications
    • Must hold a full UK driving license.
