Position Overview

We are seeking a personable and organized Patient Services Coordinator to become a vital member of our team. In this role, you will have the chance to support our mission of providing outstanding healthcare to our patients.

As a Patient Services Coordinator at Islington Central Medical Centre, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our patients and visitors. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that patients receive timely access to the necessary services and healthcare professionals.

You will also assist our practice team with various tasks while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions, whether face-to-face, over the phone, or via email.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

- Provide a welcoming and efficient reception service, greeting patients and visitors with a warm approach.

- Address general inquiries, clarify procedures, and accurately schedule both new and follow-up appointments.

- Utilize your strong judgment and communication skills to prioritize urgent consultations for patients without prior appointments.

- Clearly explain practice protocols and requirements to new patients and those seeking temporary coverage, ensuring all necessary procedures are completed.

- Manage incoming telephone calls, directing them appropriately and taking detailed messages as needed.

- Scan documents into our electronic system, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

- Enter patient data into our computer system promptly and accurately.

- Ensure the facility is opened and closed securely in accordance with established protocols.

- Register new patients in the computer system efficiently and accurately.

- Complete administrative tasks as assigned and provide support to other team members as required.

- Maintain confidentiality at all times, particularly regarding telephone conversations and discussions among staff in public areas.
