- Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, ensuring a helpful and courteous approach while maintaining confidentiality regarding patient and staff information.
- Manage patient appointments effectively, including booking, canceling, and rescheduling using the EMIS clinical system.
- Maintain an understanding of the Practice's workflow and demands throughout the day.
- Ensure the reception area is organized and well-stocked with necessary forms and patient information.
- Oversee medication inventory, including stock reconciliation and ordering supplies to maintain adequate levels.
- Handle both internal and external postal correspondence efficiently.
- Process end-of-month prescriptions and manage the distribution of communications to patients.
- Utilize the iPlato messaging system to send weekly reminders to patients.
- Monitor medication expiry dates and initiate orders as necessary.
- Exhibit flexibility to cover shifts in the event of staff absences due to holidays or illness.
This role is essential in ensuring a smooth operation within the practice, contributing to the overall patient experience.
