Position Overview: Are you skilled in managing security protocols and risk assessments in challenging environments?

An exciting opportunity has emerged within Tearfund's Eurasia and North Africa Team for the role of Regional Safety, Security and Access Manager. This position is ideally suited for a national candidate and may be based in the candidate's country of origin or in a location where Tearfund has operational rights within the ENA region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement comprehensive safety and security risk management strategies across all operational areas and regional offices within ENA, including countries such as Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Jordan.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and analyses of potential threats, ensuring that safety and security plans are regularly updated and effectively communicated.
  • Provide expert advice to mitigate risks and deliver training sessions and briefings to staff and partners.
  • Manage critical incidents and conduct regular field visits to monitor and evaluate country programs.
  • Contextualize policies and procedures to align with Tearfund's core values and operational characteristics.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a security role within an insecure environment.
  • Relevant security training, such as HEAT or equivalent certifications.
  • Proven ability to conduct security analyses and adapt programming based on findings.
  • Strong capability to provide clear and actionable recommendations to decision-makers.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure.

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential, with proficiency in Arabic being an added advantage.

This role requires frequent travel within the designated countries. Salary will be determined based on the location of the successful candidate.
