Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist in Community General Adult Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Community General Adult Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for patients in the community.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans that meet the needs of patients.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Requirements:
  • Hold a medical qualification (e.g., MBBS) and be registered with the GMC.
  • Have a CCT in Psychiatry or be on the Specialist Register.
  • Have Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician approval.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have experience in managing complex psychiatric cases.
Desirable:
  • Have a higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
  • Have experience in teaching and training junior medical staff.
  • Have experience in research and audit projects.
