We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Older Adult Services team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans, taking into account the bio-psycho-social needs of patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical governance policies and procedures.
- Supervise and appraise junior medical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
- Participate in research and audit projects, contributing to the improvement of patient care and services.
- Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register in Psychiatry.
- Experience of working in Older Adult Psychiatry, with a strong understanding of the complexities of this specialty.
- Excellent clinical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to manage priorities, work under pressure, and make decisions based on evidence and experience.
