Position Overview

Education Brands is in search of a Customer Relationship Manager (hybrid) to enhance our dynamic team.

Role Summary

Manage a designated portfolio of clients, cultivate new business opportunities from current customers, and proactively pursue new sales leads. Collaborate with organizations to gain insights into their objectives, challenges, and requirements. Build enduring partnerships with clients to support the growth of our organization.

*This position necessitates in-office work once a week, monthly meetings, and quarterly gatherings. Travel within the assigned region is also expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish robust relationships within your designated area
  • Act as the primary contact for all issues related to your accounts
  • Drive revenue growth in your territory by securing renewal contracts with price increases and upselling additional products and services
  • Acquire and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of our offerings and technology platform, clearly articulating the benefits over competitors
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all customer account management inquiries
  • Negotiate agreements and finalize contracts to optimize profitability
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of our solutions in alignment with customer objectives
  • Communicate the status of monthly and quarterly initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Generate new business from existing clients and identify opportunities for improvement to achieve sales targets
  • Monitor and report on key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales performance and annual forecasts)
  • Meet or surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals set by management
  • Prepare detailed reports on account status
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and expand opportunities within the territory
  • Assist with complex client requests or escalated issues as necessary
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in roles such as Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or similar positions within the technology sector
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field

  • Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive and C-suite
  • Experience in delivering client-centric solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple account management projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Exceptional listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Competitive spirit and a commitment to excellence
  • Experience in sales within the technology industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to quickly assess your audience and tailor messages accordingly
