As part of our commitment to enhancing work-life balance, NHS Scotland is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week of 37 hours, effective from 1 April 2024, while maintaining current pay levels. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time employees. Please note that some service areas may require a temporary extension of working hours, up to an additional 30 minutes per week, until new rosters or working patterns are established.

Position Overview: The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the daily administration and upkeep of the Monthly Medical staff on-call Rotas specifically for Emergency Care and Medical Specialties. This position necessitates close collaboration with all members of the clinical team and the Clinical Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for Medical staff regarding on-call Rota service inquiries.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to staff members, patients, and professionals concerning service inquiries and rota management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the NHS Rota Watch system.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a qualification (HNC/HND) in business administration or a related field, along with relevant experience in a similar administrative capacity. Alternatively, significant experience in a comparable role may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. Familiarity with the workings of the National Health Service is essential.

Work Schedule: The designated shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday.
