Glasgow, Glasgow City, United Kingdom NHS Scotland Full time

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is recognized as one of the most extensive healthcare systems in the UK, employing approximately 40,000 individuals across a diverse array of clinical and non-clinical roles. Our organization is dedicated to delivering comprehensive acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population exceeding 1.15 million, with an extended reach to 2.2 million through our regional and national services.

As part of our commitment to enhancing work-life balance, NHS Scotland is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours. This adjustment will be implemented from a specified date, with corresponding changes for part-time staff. While we aim to adopt these new working hours across all service areas, there may be instances where additional temporary hours are required until service adjustments are finalized. For any inquiries regarding this transition, we encourage you to reach out to the Recruiting Board.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

In this role, you will undertake a vital administrative function in the creation and upkeep of the Monthly Medical staff on-call Rotas for Emergency Care and Medical Specialties. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with clinical team members and the Clinical Service Manager.
  • Serving as the primary contact for Medical staff regarding on-call Rota service inquiries.
  • Providing assistance and guidance to staff members, patients, and professionals concerning service inquiries and rota management.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely data entry into the NHS Rota Watch system.

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a qualification (HNC/HND) in business administration or a related field, along with relevant experience in a similar administrative capacity. Alternatively, significant experience in a comparable role may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. Familiarity with the workings of the National Health Service is essential.
