About the Position

We are seeking a motivated Client Engagement Specialist to become a vital part of our Engagement and Strategic Adoption team within the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) directorate at the Department for Business and Trade. In our team, we focus on two primary objectives:

  • Empowering our workforce to actively advocate for DDaT's principles and methodologies, enhancing productivity and ensuring value for resources.
  • Boosting the effective utilization of our products and services, while delivering measurable outcomes to better understand and fulfill user requirements.

In this role, you will collaborate across various DDaT teams and disciplines, crafting and executing communication, engagement, and product adoption initiatives from the initial discovery phase to ongoing reinforcement.

This position necessitates a user-centric approach in decision-making, bridging the gap between users and DDaT offerings, both internally and externally. You will engage with users throughout their journey, enhancing their overall experience. Your responsibilities will include developing clear and consistent messaging, assisting DDaT teams in effectively communicating key messages to users, fostering awareness, and promoting behavioral changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with teams across DDaT to enhance awareness, growth, and adoption of DDaT's products and services.
  • Executing effective communication and engagement campaigns from initial discovery to reinforcement.
  • Measuring and analyzing communication, engagement, and adoption activities to assess their effectiveness in achieving objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Utilizing various tactics and communication channels to engage with target audiences.
  • Establishing feedback loops with DDaT teams and users to facilitate ongoing improvements.
  • Creating and delivering presentations and workshops.
  • Working independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to emerging team priorities.
  • Guiding others in producing engaging content for external audiences.
  • Collaborating with the team to deliver internal DDaT and DBT events.

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging and accessible content for diverse communication channels and audiences.
  • Strong copywriting and editorial skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient stakeholder management skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships across various teams and levels of seniority.
  • Effective organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and adhere to tight deadlines.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with product marketing strategies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Customer Insights.
