We are thrilled to announce a remarkable opportunity within the Ambulance Care Directorate for a Service Operations Leader. This role encompasses oversight of the Central and West Area, including various regions.

Key Responsibilities

This position offers a unique chance to become part of a dynamic team that values innovative thinking and dedication to enhancing service delivery within Ambulance Care. You will be challenged to expand your management and strategic capabilities while collaborating closely with the Ambulance Care team and other departments. Additionally, you will engage with multiple external organizations, including voluntary and private sectors, as well as key commissioning stakeholders.

Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this role; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.

The post holder will have direct managerial responsibilities for a team of leaders and their respective operational teams.

You will oversee the delivery of local operational services, ensuring that objectives and performance benchmarks are achieved by monitoring standards and adhering to contractual obligations outlined in local Commissioner Service Level Agreements. It is essential to ensure compliance with Trust Policies, Procedures, and Quality Standards, implementing changes as necessary.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential

  • A degree in a relevant field such as Business or Healthcare.
  • Extensive experience and specialized knowledge in Business, Logistics, or Healthcare.

Desirable

  • Above-average understanding of performance metrics, including data analysis.
  • Experience managing at a senior level within the NHS.
  • Familiarity with SLA and/or account management.
  • Knowledge of NHS complaint processes.
  • Understanding of NEPTS in the UK.

Experience

  • Significant experience in staff management.
  • Proven experience in Financial Management and budget oversight.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Word and Excel.
