About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Center Director to lead the strategic direction of the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) Oxford Centre. As a key member of the SEI global management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Centre's work programs, including monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy and Implementation: Develop and deliver SEI's global strategy at the local level, including setting the research agenda, managing operations, ensuring financial sustainability, and producing annual work plans and results reports for SEI HQ.
  • Leadership and Support: Lead and support our team, fostering engagement and helping staff to reach their full potential.
  • Relationship Building and Representation: Build and maintain relationships with partners, clients, and funders. Represent SEI Oxford at seminars and conferences, promote and strengthen our network, and engage with policy and decision-makers.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree (or higher) in a field relevant to SEI.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, strategy, and people management.
  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in driving strategy development and implementation.
What We Offer
  • A four-year term with a standard six-month probation period.
  • A hybrid work environment with staff required to be on-site at least two days a week.
