We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Center Director to lead the strategic direction of the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) Oxford Centre. As a key member of the SEI global management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Centre's work programs, including monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and deliver SEI's global strategy at the local level, including setting the research agenda, managing operations, and ensuring financial sustainability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and support our team, fostering engagement and helping staff to reach their full potential.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with partners, clients, and funders. Represent SEI Oxford at seminars and conferences, promote and strengthen our network, and engage with policy and decision-makers.
- Financial Management: Ensure financial sustainability and growth by identifying resource requirements and funding sources.
- Professional Development: Support the professional development of SEI Oxford staff, including enhancing collaboration with SEI York at the University of York.
- A Master's degree (or higher) in a field relevant to SEI.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, strategy, and people management.
- Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written.
- Experience in driving strategy development and implementation.
- A four-year term with a standard six-month probation period.
- A hybrid work environment with staff required to be on-site at least two days a week.
- 33 days of holiday entitlement, including bank holidays.
