About Opportunity Oxford

Opportunity Oxford is a flagship programme at the University of Oxford, designed to support students from widening access backgrounds in their transition from school to university. The programme aims to develop high-level academic skills and ensure students are well-prepared for their Oxford experience and future studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the operational delivery of the programme's online events, academic courses, and in-person residential programmes.
  • Develop and implement internal and external communications strategies to engage with stakeholders, including students, teachers, parents, and families.
  • Manage data quality and provide regular evaluation reports to inform programme improvements.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including academics, access and outreach colleagues, student support services, and conferences and events teams.
Role Overview

The Opportunity Oxford Officer will work closely with the Opportunity Oxford Team and access and outreach colleagues across the collegiate University to manage the continuous development and implementation of the programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of online and in-person events, driving external communications strategies, and managing data quality.

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, teachers, and academics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and inform programme improvements.
  • Experience of working in a higher education setting, preferably in outreach and access initiatives.
