Chief Executive Officer

The board of trustees and the dedicated staff are collaborating to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer or co-CEOs for what promises to be a remarkable opportunity for social impact in the Oxford area.

Oxford Hub is currently at a pivotal stage, having crafted an ambitious three-year plan and established a new community center.

The incoming CEO will benefit from a solid foundation to commence their role and will have the chance to influence the execution of this strategy, adapting our initiatives through a cooperative approach that responds to the needs of the community.

We seek an individual who possesses the enthusiasm, dedication, skills, and experience necessary to address inequality in the Oxford region. A specific academic or professional background is not a prerequisite.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following domains:

  • Formulating, leading, and executing an organizational strategy
  • Fundraising initiatives
  • Financial oversight within a charity or similar environment
  • Community engagement and/or managing a community center
  • Leadership, especially in collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds
  • Supervising and coordinating multiple projects
  • Establishing strong partnerships to achieve objectives
  • Designing and implementing social change initiatives in collaboration with others
  • Adapting to and contributing positively within a dynamic organization

Additional experiences that would be advantageous for this position include:

  • Senior-level experience in a charitable organization or social enterprise
  • Experience in adapting teams to align with strategic goals
  • Familiarity with the Oxford community and its diverse populations
  • Experience in safeguarding management
  • Delivering strategic partnerships, both formal and informal
  • Personal experience with the challenges that Oxford Hub aims to address

ABOUT OXFORD HUB

Oxford Hub is a community-focused charity dedicated to supporting, equipping, and empowering individuals to combat inequalities in health, education, and opportunity throughout Oxford, particularly where the need for change is most pressing.

Founded by students from the University of Oxford in 2007, we have transformed into a community charity, operating our main hub and a secondary office in the city. We facilitate community volunteering and organizing programs, lead initiatives for systemic change, and provide services that directly address disparities in health, education, and opportunity.
