Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

Oxford Food Hub is seeking a visionary leader to drive the organisation's growth and impact. As Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership, guiding the organisation through its next phase of development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to enhance the Hub's impact, expand its operational capacity, and secure financial sustainability.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive improvements in operational efficiency, logistics, and food redistribution, ensuring the organisation's ability to meet the needs of its stakeholders.
  • Financial Sustainability: Diversify and strengthen funding sources, ensuring the organisation's financial stability and ability to deliver its mission.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, suppliers, and partners.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure the organisation adheres to all relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, and develop and implement risk management strategies.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within the charity, private, non-profit, or food redistribution sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex operations, including logistics and supply chain management.
  • Excellent line management skills, with proven experience of developing a high-performing team and building strong relationships with volunteers.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in developing diverse funding streams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the UK's regulatory environment for food redistribution and charitable activities.
  • A passionate advocate for environmental sustainability, food security, and community well-being.
